Designing Healthy Boundaries

At our health clinic, we work together very closely as a tight-knit team. As a team, we have seen it all and we have been through it all. Stressful days, weeks, and months only bring us closer together.

Amidst a global health crisis that has caused many people financial hardship and social isolation, our clinic has seen an increase in stress and loneliness among our patients. Humans are social creatures, and for many of us, the office is more than our place of work—it is where we spend a significant number of our waking hours.

As the seasons change, so does our work. Like many organizations, our office was due for a redesign. We kept delaying the transformation due to the fact that we had to overcome several challenges. While many industries have the luxury of being able to distribute their employees remotely, healthcare requires the unique presence of in-person interaction among staff and between staff and patients. This meant that physical work in the office had to be done swiftly to ensure minimal downtime in our clinical operations. And whether it’s at dawn or dusk, we have to be totally focused on giving our patients the best form of care. We are first and foremost medical professionals who have to practice and perform care with accuracy and attentiveness, which leaves very little time and energy to focus on anything other than healthcare. Our office redesign project would have to be minimally taxing on our team. Moreover, none of us have interior design experience or knowledge, so we needed the best expertise to guide us.

We discovered Creative Office Designs through a patient who mentioned to one of our nurses that he had recently bought new Office Furniture in Los Angeles. The patient seemed really happy with his new furniture and couldn’t stop talking about how excited he was to have a revamped working space. After reading online reviews, testimonials, and pictures, our clinic coordinator decided to book a consultation with one of the designers of Creative Office Design.

Our request was for a design plan that could quickly transform the space into one that created more separation between patient sections and clinic sections so that we could adhere to social distancing requirements. The designer suggested that new cubicles from their LA warehouse would be the fastest way to implement our vision. The cubicles were shipped and installed the very next day.

Our previous office design did not have clear boundaries, which caused unnecessary stress between the doctors, nurses, technicians, and coordinators. The new cubicles allowed us to create healthy boundaries in our clinic, which immediately reduced tension and improved productivity among everyone in the office. It has also given us peace of mind to know that if we need another redesign in the future, the cubicles can be easily rearranged.

We are so grateful to Creative Office Design for their expertise, speed, and professionalism. We highly recommend that you call them if you are looking for new or used furniture and design consulting.

Our Budget-Friendly Health Office Redesign

Our offices advocate for and provide timely and preventative diagnostic tests for cancer and heart diseases. We are proud to have a team with experience and knowledge on some of the most important topics in health, science, and medicine.

That said, while we have expertise in preventing disease, we aren’t immune to them.

The global pandemic has put many organizations under immense pressure, plunging them into uncertainty and financial turmoil. Working from home may have its benefits, but it isn’t productive for everyone. As a result, many businesses have been desperate to bring their staff back to the office. The future is unclear; will we ever get back to the office?

Forbes reports that companies like JPMorgan are pushing for a return-to-office plan this year. However, they have had a history of trying to bring employees back to the office, only for surges in the virus to shift their plans. Meanwhile, companies like Google and Apple have a more relaxed policy, allowing their employees to remain working from home, while other companies are letting their employees decide. Society is still figuring out how to get back to normal.

Ever since the onset of the global pandemic, we knew that we wanted our offices to remain dedicated to providing patients access to health screening. Which meant that we needed to take further precautions to make our offices safe and functional. However, moving into a bigger office was simply not an option.

After careful consideration, we decided to look for office cubicles that could be purchased and delivered within Orange County. We were on a budget for both time and money. We wanted to keep our costs reasonable in case any further spending would be necessary for the future. We also couldn’t afford to have the office renovated; that would require too much downtime, and we were worried that any construction would spread debris onto our expensive lab equipment.

Modular Office Furniture

We discovered Creative Office Design, a Los Angeles-based furniture supplier and office designer. After reading glowing reviews, we enlisted their services to help us furnish our offices with more cubicles; the partitioning allows us to continue operating with the highest standards of hygiene while maintaining social distance. Their selection offered plenty of options for us to choose from. We were able to purchase used office furniture in Orange County. The second-hand furniture was in excellent condition and we were able to install the cubicles in just one day.

Office Cubicles Provide Function and Distance

The key to installing cubicles is to carefully plan the layout given your square footage. The goal is to maximize the space without disrupting the flow of traffic. We needed to give our lab technicians and lab equipment plenty of space. Luckily, Creative Office Design could accommodate our unique needs. With decades of years of experience in the office design and furnishing industry, their professionals offer on-site office planning, interior design, and new and used modular systems, workstations, and cubicles. We are very pleased with their services; the entire process was swift and seamless from beginning to end.

In turbulent times, organizations must safely adapt. If you are looking to revamp your office, you can give Creative Office Design a call today.

Safe & Proactive Healthcare: Telemedicine and Genetic Testing

Selecting the ideal solution and technology for one’s healthcare program requires training, evaluation, and research by a professional and registered provider. With the historic pandemic of COVID—19, many healthcare providers were stretched thin on-site, amplifying the need for virtual solutions to healthcare. Today, telehealth is part of the new standard of care. Many providers are finding virtual care safer and more effective than an in-person appointment.

Telemedicine is the practice of caring for patients remotely when the patient and provider aren’t physically present with one another. Modern technology has allowed doctors to consult their patients with the help of HIPAA compliant video-conferencing tools.

In addition, genetic testing is a process that screens an individual’s genetic material for the presence of mutations, which may cause disease. This procedure is performed by taking genetic material from cells gathered from tissue, saliva, or blood from inside the cheek. https://www.myconciergehealth.org/ provides comprehensive solutions including telemedicine and genetic lab testing, offering patients safer and better access than ever.

What are the most common diseases among Americans?

Genetic testing can screen for common diseases that can worsen if not treated properly.

Many of the population in the US have diabetes. Pain in the legs, extreme thirst, extreme hunger, and weight loss are symptoms of this disease.

Obesity is a medical condition where the percentage of body fat has become so massive that it poses a risk to a person’s health. This disease affects a person’s health by making every physical activity difficult. An obese individual will suffer from shortness of breath, putting more pressure on their heart, and causing blood flow to be restricted.

Heart disease is one of the deadliest conditions and is considered a silent killer. This condition impacts people by gradually lowering their heart’s strength, making it pump less blood at a weak pace, or causing the body to be hypertensive.

Kidney disease is a common disease that lowers the body’s kidney function, either due to poor lifestyle choices or complications.

How treatment and prevention can be customized to one’s genetics?

Genetic testing can facilitate early detection of disease and prevent personal health risks when followed by proactive and prompt treatment. A genetic ancestry test can show underlying health risks that physicians might not otherwise locate. Genetic testing does not essentially determine a specific disease but may determine risk factors, which call for added, targeted testing.

Some of the diseases that can be determined through genetic testing are obesity, parkinson’s disease, bipolar disorder, celiac disease, and breast and ovarian cancer.

Genetic testing can be lifesaving for many patients. It provides information that helps medical providers concentrate their treatment efforts better. Further, locating high-risk categories in babies allow prenatal providers to better plan for the pediatric care the child will require at birth. Often, lifesaving interventions can be initiated while the baby is in the womb.

Overall, telemedicine and genetic testing provide many benefits to patients and doctors, farmers, and people who want to take the utmost care of their bodies.
